Itinerary

Day by day through the fascinating history of Egypt

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Flight from Zurich or Geneva to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your tour guide who will assist you with customs formalities. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 2: Giza & Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, your private tour guide will lead you to the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. Afterwards, you will visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

Day 3: Islamic Cairo & Drive to Alexandria

You will explore the Islamic old town – including the Citadel with the Alabaster Mosque, the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, and the Elfishawy Café. In the afternoon, transfer to Alexandria.

Day 4: Exploring Alexandria

Visit Qaitbay Citadel, the Library of Alexandria, the Catacombs, and Pompey's Pillar. In the evening, return to Cairo with an optional seafood dinner by the sea.

Day 5: Flight to Aswan & Embarkation

Morning flight from Cairo to Aswan. Transfer to the Nile cruise ship, embarkation, and afternoon visit to Elephantine Island and Kalabsha Temple.

Day 6: Kom Ombo Temple

After breakfast, visit the double temple of Kom Ombo. Afterwards, enjoy dinner on board with a view of the Nile as the ship continues towards Edfu.

Day 7: Edfu Temple

After lunch, visit the remarkably well-preserved Edfu Temple. Dinner and overnight stay on board as you continue on towards Luxor.

Day 8: West Bank & Karnak Temple

Visit the West Bank including the Valley of the Kings and the Hatshepsut Temple. In the afternoon, excursion to the majestic temples of Karnak and Luxor.

Days 9: Beach Holiday on the Red Sea

Morning transfer to Hurghada (or Safaga, El Quseir, Marsa Alam, Sharm El Sheikh). Five days of relaxation at a 5-star resort beach with all-inclusive comfort.

Days 10–13: Relaxation & Options

Enjoy the sun, beach, and sea. Discuss optional excursions and activities directly at the beginning with your personal local tour guide team.

Day 14: Return Journey

Return flight to Switzerland – optionally departing from Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh comfortably via Cairo.
